Bio

Formed in 2022, Black Idol is a five-piece progressive metal band based in Belgrade, Serbia. Their music is characterized by dynamic compositions, intricate arrangements, and emotionally profound themes, drawing inspiration from a diverse array of influences, including Porcupine Tree, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Leprous, Tesseract, and Karnivool.

The band’s roots trace back to Kruševac, where founding members Aleksa (vocals) and Uroš (guitar) played together in various bands since elementary school. Driven by their shared passion for music, particularly progressive metal, they relocated to Belgrade, where they connected with drummer Timur, bassist Vasily, and guitarist Aleksandar in 2023.
